Limitations

The 5 Year IX & IE Structural Warranty (IX & IE Structural Warranty), the 3 Year LE Structural Warranty (LE & A Series Structural Warranty), the 3 Year TM Meal Canopy Structural Warranty, and a 1 Year Hardware Warranty (Hardware Warranty) are the only warranty, express or implied that is provided by AWLC, concerning any product or canopy provided by AWLC. Each canopy model is subject to its own warranty terms and conditions as outline within. The benefits of this Warranty to AWLC customers are in addition to all other warranties, rights, and remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.

AWLC will not accept any responsibilities for incidental loss or damages. AWLC is not responsible for:

  • Any loss or damage to vehicle or items left in case of fire, theft, or any other cause beyond AWLC’s control
  • Any damage notified after the vehicle has left the AWLC factory or an Authorised Dealer / Agent
  • Any delays caused by the unavailability of parts or delays in parts shipments by the supplier or transporter

Glass Breakage

AWLC does not offer any Warranty Period relating to the breakage or scratching of glass on any supplied products. This period commences at product handover.

Vehicle Loading

The canopy and vehicle accessories that have been fitted to your vehicle by AWLC will increase the weight of your vehicle. We suggest Original Purchase re-weigh their vehicle with these fittings to obtain a revised vehicle weight. The gross vehicle mass of the vehicle should be recorded on the vehicle’s compliance plate or is available from the vehicle manufacturer. The difference between these weights (GVM – revised weight) is the maximum vehicle load and should not be exceeded.

You must allow for the weight of fuel and all occupants within this maximum vehicle load and load your vehicle appropriately. It is the responsibility of the drivers and / or the company they are employed with to ensure they do not overload the vehicle.

Stress Cracks

Stress cracks in the fibreglass body that are caused by misuse, abuse, collision, unsecured loads, excessive weight on racks or tray, or competitive racing are not covered. If a stress crack occurs, it should be repaired without delay to prevent future failures due to neglect. Stress cracks in the exterior finish caused by impact are not covered under warranty.

Colour Coding

As part of our additional extras, canopies can be colour coded to match your ute body. Canopies are colour coded to the paint manufacturers’ specifications. The process of colour coding is not the same as colour matching. We do not offer colour matching or claim an exact colour match between the canopy and the vehicle. Colour matching is undertaken by vehicle repairers who can accurately match the colour of your vehicle irrespective of factory paint variations. If you seek an exact colour match to your vehicle, we recommend consulting a panel beater for more information.

The above list is not intended to be exhaustive, and AWLC may, at its absolute discretion, elect to refuse any warranty claim whatsoever.

Structural and Hardware Warranty Claim

In the event of a warranted product failure, it is at the discretion of AWLC whether they repair or replace the defective part(s). AWLC reserves the right to replace any parts with current production parts of equal or greater quality and value.

All claims must be made to the authorised AWLC Dealer from which you purchased your canopy. Personal identification, along with proof of purchase and ownership of the original AWLC Canopy is required for all warranty claims. Warranty repairs and replacements will be undertaken by AWLC or an authorised repairer. Warranty repairs and replacements will be free of charge unless an on-site repair is requested, in which case a service call fee will apply.

Unless the Original Purchaser has prior written consent from AWLC, repairs undertaken by an unauthorised repairer will not be reimbursed.

Return Policy

If you wish to make a warranty claim, please contact AWLC to obtain a Return Authorisation Form. The Return Authorisation Form will need to be completed and provided to AWLC before returning goods for processing. AWLC will need to conduct an assessment on any Warranty claim to determine whether a repair, replacement or refund is appropriate.

All AWLC products have a back-to-base warranty; this means that the Original Purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs to and from our nominated service centre or dealer along with related freight insurances. Vehicles or products being returned to a nominated service centre or dealer must be signed off by an AWLC Representative within three days of Warranty completion.

Any unauthorised returns or incorrect forms will be refused by our After-Sales Department, and the goods will be returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.

In no case shall AWLC accept any responsibility or liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage extending beyond the cost of repairing or replacing the canopy or any expense resulting from the transportation of the canopy to or from the place of repair.
